Co Vo Dao, or the practice of traditional weapons, is part of the teaching of Qwan Ki Do and Sino-Vietnamese martial arts.
Weapons in Qwan Ki Do are divided into three broad categories: wooden weapons, edged weapons and jointed weapons; from these categories there is a further subdivision into long guns and short guns.
The teaching of Co Vo Dao is carried out through an educational method adapted to each category of weapon, orienting the practice towards the search for skill and gestural coordination harmonized with the physical, technical and mental qualities of practitioners.
In this sector of Qwan Ki Do, both technical and combat competitions are also held, the latter with special weapons and protections that put practitioners in safety.
